  • AdvanTech exhibited KITS on May 3 at 2009 IAHCSMM Annual Meeting.
  • AdvanTech participated in the AORN 56th Annual Conference that took place in Chicago from March 16th to the 19th 2009.
  • AdvanTech recently exhibited our new QLM® Kit Information Tracking System at the AORN Annual Conference in Anaheim, California.
  • AdvanTech participated in the annual HIMSS Advocacy Day on Capital Hill. This year’s focus was on highlighting the importance of electronic health records as part of the approach to enabling more effective health care for all Americans.
  • AdvanTech also continues to be active in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Apparel Research Network. This R&D group continually looks to use new technologies such as RFID to improve the Supply Chain for military apparel and equipment used by today's war fighters. For our efforts in this area, AdvanTech received the prestigious "Hammer" and "Defense Manufacturing Technology Achievement" Awards.

Professional Activities

Richard Perrin, AdvanTech’s President, was recently honored for his support to the Healthcare Information Systems Society with his selection as HIMSS Volunteer of the Month. In addition to serving as the Co-Chair of the HIMSS Supply Chain Management Special Interest Group, he was also recently selected to serve on the organization’s Enterprise Information Systems Steering Committee for a two year term.

Case Studies

AdvanTech recently installed RFID portals at the Lackland Air Force Base AFCIIF as part of the company’s research projects. The system was tuned to enhance performance and led to expanded use of RFID passive tags to track inventory movement. A White Paper on this case study is available on request.
